Chapter 5

" Ash ! What the hell? Put me down! " Keller said holding on to his neck for dear life .

" Nope , We gotta get to headquarters . I've Got to get you there and find out what you are , you won't be safe until we find out how you fight , Fangs , Claws ,or witchcraft. " Ash kept running .

" Ash , stop . Set me down , NOW . I can walk you know . " Keller was getting to him she could tell , he was slowing down just a bit . Keller Dug her nails into his neck , and said " Stop , or i'll jump right now . " He could tell she was serious , so he slowed to a human walking pace and let her drop .

" We have to keep moving or else they'll find us . " He warned so she walked beside him for a little while .

   He was watching her out of the corner of his eyes , the truth was he was starving . He didn't want to scare her away but soon he'd be out of oxygen and he'd need blood to survive , if they didn't get there soon it would have to be her blood . He watched as she yawned and slowed down even more , she couldn't walk the next fourteen miles , let alone the next two . " Alright Keller , This pace is to slow they'll catch us to fast . I'm going to have to carry you the rest of the way ." He said sounding out of breath.

" Ash Are you alright ? " Keller said pure worry on her face .

" FIne - I -Just need - to get to - headquarters . " He stopped and leaned up against a tree.

" No your not telling me something , and i'm not moving from this very spot until you tell me what that is . " She said defiantly

"Vampires need blood , for the oxygen it carries , our blood dosen't have the ability to carry oxygen . That's the only reason we need blood . " He sat down with his back up against the tree.

" Almost out of oxygen, huh? " Okay now run ! he won't be able to chase you ! Her sensible side said . Maybe she wants him to chase her ! Ever think of that ? Go on give him what he needs. Her fun-time voice said . Well when the fun voice comes out to play , never do I shy away . She thought to her self .

"Yeah , do you think there's a deer close by ? or even a rabbit ? " He said trying to keep his eyes off her neck .

" No. " She said kneeling down next to him

What is she doing ? Ash thought to himself .
