Surfing the WavesA Chapter by Tesa
Sensations often come in waves.
I watch them rise and crest in my awareness, and then dissolve into nothingness. A constriction in my gut intensifies and then slowly relaxes over time. A pain in my neck lingers for a while, and suddenly leaves without a trace. Some sensations come and go in a flash. Others take me on a long journey, like this persistent ache in my heart about that painful gap between reality and possibility. I am learning to stay present, surf each wave, and follow the strongest current. © 2011 Tesa |
