Empty Nest

Empty Nest

A Poem by Terry Lynn

Hollow walls

Quiet and pretty

To the outside

Quietly screaming on the inside

Like tiny cuts that just won't bleed

And I don't even feel anymore

A glimps

A newfound passion in the midst

Your essence

Exciting and thick

I'm smothering

Smother me

With your inspiration

Unleash my creativity

My self love

Make my walls bright again

With potential
