Awake In You

Awake In You

A Poem by Terry Lynn

Working quietly, I enjoy every moment

Wishing I could remain in this state forever

My hands, these stones, your tools

All moving in perfect harmony

You fill my soul as I work

My craftsmanship and artistry

Are a gift from you alone

I remember watching you

Your stregth, Your smile

Your Skill

Your beauty

It seems a lifetime ago

But your scent still lingers here

I stop often to take it in

And I'm again filled with longing

The sink where you used to wash up

How anxious I'd feel

Knowing I'd soon receive your touch

Your gentle hands, so strong and safe

I'd melt into you

Your kiss, given only to me

Can never be replaced my love

It is truly all I've ever needed

Your workshop, now mine, ours

The artist that I've become

Where I privately create

With you
