Happenchance

The complete and utterly event of happenchance.

To think that this could come from the most simple of choices

All completely random and rare

They all lead to me taking steps in your direction

You dragged my attention from the throes of emptiness

A light beckoning me to follow

A lighthouse steering me to safety.

Still not quite understanding what was becoming

My eyes then opened for the first time

Blinded by your beauty

A glow emanating from your smile

The flushing of my skin when your gaze rested upon me

My mind and heart were instantly at war

My heart edging out my minds reason

Feeling the events that lead to this

All of which I couldn't understand

A different type of light to brighten my day

To bring an actual smile to my face

Just by seeing yours.

Nothing brightens my day as when your smile appears.

I have found a new sunshine.
