There is something different

We are different people

You are strong...and I like to fall.

You make no mistakes

I love learning from them all

Yet...when our paths crossed

My role began to change

I now wish to be strong for you

To be the one that is perfect for you

To make no mistakes

To be the one to brighten your day

Hearing the song of your laughter

It's something I look forward to everyday

Without you my day is dull

Thinking on our differences overwhelms me

Holding back my own emotions

Everything that wants to tumble from my lips

It becomes difficult when your smile blinds me

The worry that clutches my chest is terrifying

Makes me want to hold you tighter

To never let you go

Yet...I can't constrain something so beautiful and free

The only thing I can think

Is to keep my arms open

Hoping you will come back to them.
