Heady

Heady

A Poem by Mariam

I fell again to grow in wisdom,
My life pretends to beat the drum,
And I confessed,
Opening your bottle of rum.
Tell me now, as I’m ready
Why are your lessons so heady?
And he replied,
"My lady
Young you are,
But
Steady."
