A Poem by Mariam

Days were waves and splashed their foam,

Mooning away under the flickering dome.

Come now, taste my barmy wave and leer

Сursing the night that made you roam.

A night comes in a hope to burn a candle and spread the light ... as same as a light a day comes with the new morning in a hope to make a life bright and spread the lights to get rid of the darkness of nights ...
A very nice poem you penned but i'd say it's a very nice thought of yours you dropped into the form of a poem.

I'm truly unsure.. is this a witty little naughty or a touch of genuine delight?! Either way, you've certainly worked the meter and come up with a fine four liner, Mariam. Must read more, sorry it's been a while. Happy new happies.

Haha thx for stopping by!
The metaphor of the opening line is sublime, as your poem (and its subtle story) sets into immediate motion. The change of tense and tone in the last two lines work well. I like your poems drawn out of the sea :)

A pleasant little ditty.....they all come home...either in this time...sometimes in the next...or the next...or the next.

Enjoyed it.

These words are like brushstrokes with the movement of an ocean's waves. I love where this poem took me visually..
