The Moon is lame you exclaim

The Moon is lame you exclaim

A Poem by Mariam

The moon is on the wane

But you laugh and blame,

Taking Lord’s name in vain.

I claim how high I aim

I'm like a tigress that is tame

But you laugh just the same,

Hold my face in your hands and frame

In your kiss…

My old flame

And I’m your Dame

Not bad. The rhyme scheme is a little grating after a while but this doesn't take itself very seriously, which is nice, so that doesn't really matter. Good imagery in this, but I feel you could have expanded a bit more.
