Nothing like the sun

Nothing like the sun

A Poem by Mariam

I wanted to sink and forget all your whispers

“Nothing like the sun are the eyes of my mistress”

I wanted to shout, resisting deep kisses

But you smiled…

And now love is a snake, which creeps near …

And hisses.

I think the "snake" is within us...I know, for I've looked around when I heard the hiss and none was around...

I liked the subtle rhyme of this.
