I let candles pray

I let candles pray

A Poem by Mariam

I wanted to play, whispering “ages”.

Words are passion - flew above,

I breathe and it rages.

Oh forgive my low spirits.

They fell like feathers

Outside the limits…

Tears danced crossing this fire,

Love exhaled, whetting desire.

I let candles pray, burning in silence

Thanks God, our night wasn't violence.
