Runo the Rhino

This is kinda a childish story

Runo was a Rhinoceros the only Rhino in the forest. He could have been the most powerful and magnificent animal in the forest but he shyed away from all the other animals.

You see he thought his face was ugly due to some dumb remark from Jenty the owl, his oldest but not exactly the wisest of friends. As a result Runo hid his face when ever he could.

One day Runo was peacefully lazing under a tree  when he heard a herd of Zebras approaching, chatting gaily about an upcoming festival. Runo fearing they would glimpse his ugly face quickly stole behind some bushes and waited for them to pass, fumming at their inconvenient timing. 

But he was not the only one hiding in the bushes. There were several rabbits there too, popping out of their holes.  In an instant he discreetingly took of walking east until he came to a pond.  Thirstily he gulped some water but when he looked up and saw all the fishes in the pond staring up at him he took off again, a hundred and sixty miles per hour.

 After a little while he realised he must have dropped his contacts somewhere so he traced his way back until he was at the pond again. The fishes called out “we have your contacts Rhino”. But when he stuck his head into the pond and  they swam away. "Im so ugly they cant bear me" he thought sadly. One of them heard him and felt sorry for the Runo. "Well acually we were afraid of you" the fish said giving the Rhino back his lenses "You do know you look pretty ferocious"."Well that beats Ugly" he replied.

Later that day Runo met Jenty and asked him about his ferocoius exterior. "I dont know Runo, but somehow you look differnet now..................muck cleaner"

Must have been when he stuck his head in the pond .

When Runo glanced at his reflection in the water, he exclaimed “Why Im the most beautiful Rhino in the world, must have been something wrong with my contacts, that I thought myself ugly before”. The fishes laughed and invite Jenty and him go to the festival with them.  Runo the mighty Rhino never had to hide his face again.

I ve seen rhinosaures on T V........the most facinating creatures ...........I truly belive these magnificent animals are acually shy inside
Do you think this story is unpredictabel?...........unundestandable?.......or .Funny?....Crazy?.......weird?.............or just plain silly ???????
Do you have any ideas .......justs bits and pieces that would improve the story............PLESE COMMENT..........I dont wanta take credit for any ideas but I d love to see how different minds could pull and strech a simple story like a piece of clay..?
