Embryo.

Embryo.

A Poem by R.A Butler.
"

A short poem from my "METAMORPHOSIS" collection, the stimulus of which is the formation of life, particularly insect life, through this process and the symbols relevant to the topic of birth/re-birth.

"

Embryo.

And now enter into isolation,
delivered unto my fruitful passion.
Know not the rain nor hard sun that blisters,
white unborn flesh of maternal whispers.

And now be still, our sweet child of Mars,
in limbo between the sea and the stars.

And on a creeping dawns uncertain light,
open sticky eyes, the Magpie calling.
To the blooming day, from the failing night.
Awakening infant of the morning.
