My World, My Rules.

Just for fun.

If I were in charge of the world,

Babies would be born from trees

And come in sets of two or three.

And rain would spray from the ground

Shooting up, up and all around.

 

If I were in charge of the world

Cats and dogs would stand on two feet

And very discreet, they would patrol the streets

And all my teachers would be sparrows,

Who always wore bright sombreros.

 

If I were in charge of the world,

Children would cry lemonade,

Until they learned to levitate.

And in the morning flowers shout

To greet you in your time of pout.

 

If I were in charge of the world

Mondays would be nevermore

And as you sleep you’d sing galore.

And all things would be free

For everyone named Dupree.

Oh I do like this and so much. The metre's great, the whole piece is full of imagination, surrealism and such individuality.

funny and inspirational poem. even if this is a tease; it still displays a wonderful understanding and tight control over wordcraft. if this is just for kicks, cannot wait to read some serious stuff. great idea, great poem.
