Missing you ( Military wife)

Missing you ( Military wife)

A Poem by Tena Luvs

In the darkest hour I stand by the moonlight and yearn for prescence,

You must be sleeping away,

away from all the terrible things you've seen,

The terrible screams you've heard....

Escape now  my love,

In dreams where the birds sing in joy and the palm trees sway as

the ocean mist brush against your golden skin,

softly now as you lay above the warm sand,

Sleep now and let your troubles fade,

For I stand here now in the darkest hour,

awake wishing to escape with you....

These sleepless hours and nights they do not pity me you see,

I stand here now agony waiting for your return...

"Escaping In dreams where the birds sing in joy and the palm trees sway,"
This whole poems reek beauty and serenity but those are my favorite lines...:)

I really like how the ending ties everything together and leaves an almost haunting echo. Great write, though in line three the second use of the word away is a bit jagged and messes with the flow. Otherwise, perfect write! :)
