Moments of You

Moments of You

A Poem by Tempest

Time stands still,

Dauntingly unmoved,
I wish the seconds ticking past,
Tick, tick, tick -
would accerlate,
racing like my heart,
baited with anticipation,
anxiously awaiting,

How your words draw me on,

bring me closer,
led me on,
Til the clock cogs
springs sprung,
Tocking your name
between every click,
every tick,
echoes my thoughts,
for I think of you often.

Interesting, short and sweet and the finale is really something , you can hear the tension building in
"Til the clock cogs
springs sprung "
which then subsides with
"echoes my thoughts,
For I think of you often." which is almost an afterthought, coming down from the emotional high.
Well whoever he is .. "lucky guy"
