More Than A MachineA Poem by Tessa MelendezSongs used (in order of appearance...mostly) 1. A Prophecy-Asking Alexandria 2. Memories of Broken Heart-Crown the Empire 3. Machines-Crown the Empire 4. Final Episode-Asking AlexandriaHow stubborn are the scars? When they remain as a memory of a broken heart Because we must be more than just machines And we must let them hear our hearts
But, silently with bloodied knuckles I carry on With iron claws and a casted heart I wonder…can I fly away?
But, you are neither in my head nor in control The voices inside my head are taking over My soul is poisoned Help me please!
Hey there, shadow Please set me free Because I am the prisoner of this war This war that can’t be won
And as I stare at the whole world in front of me I know I am more than just a machine With stubborn scars
That remain as memories of a broken heart. © 2016 Tessa MelendezAuthor's Note
