More Than A Machine

More Than A Machine

A Poem by Tessa Melendez
"

Songs used (in order of appearance...mostly) 1. A Prophecy-Asking Alexandria 2. Memories of Broken Heart-Crown the Empire 3. Machines-Crown the Empire 4. Final Episode-Asking Alexandria

"

How stubborn are the scars?

When they remain as a memory of a broken heart

Because we must be more than just machines

And we must let them hear our hearts

But, silently with bloodied knuckles

I carry on

With iron claws and a casted heart

I wonder…can I fly away?

But, you are neither in my head nor in control

The voices inside my head are taking over

My soul is poisoned

Help me please!

Hey there, shadow

Please set me free

Because I am the prisoner of this war

This war that can’t be won

And as I stare at the whole world in front of me

I know I am more than just a machine

With stubborn scars

That remain as memories of a broken heart.

I mixed a bunch of song lyrics into a sort of poem. I don't know. I've been having this in my head for a while so, I finally took the time to piece it together. I wanted to list ALL the songs in the "Description" box but it wouldn't work out. If you want the REST of the song list let me know. :)

I really like this. I love the font. We really are more than just machines. Our emotions cannot be penned. We don't have an instruction manual to help us fix ourselves. To bring us back up. And we can never really understand how another person feels. This poem is quite amazing. Keep up the good work. Stay Inspired.

If you don't mind, I'm posting this on my facebook wall.
