Dreams of Memories

Dreams of Memories

A Poem by 「tell me true」

Lost in a world of fading memories,

the running colors; I cherish these.

They remind me of the April rain,

Such beautiful things, despite the pain.

How much I would love to go back there,

And if I told you would it be a dare?

If I were to go, would you follow?

We could free ourselves from this sorrow.

If I took your hand and showed you the way,

Would you promise me to always stay?

If I told you I would be right here,

Would my words even come in clear?

If I could have said those things then,

Maybe my state of mind would be cleansed.

But that was then, and we are apart,

You ran away, you played it smart.

If I could do it again and all over,

I promise together we'd grow older.

But it's all just an unfufilled dream,

Something that I once believed.
