revenge

revenge

A Poem by emma

You will regret this.
You will all regret never loving me enough
when you had the chance
she laughs.
Hideous, horrendous,
beautiful
laughter
echoes back at her.
And she eats it up
like a starving prisoner
on death row.
Have you ever felt
like you don't belong anywhere?
Like maybe you'd be better off
dead?
Like the world's moving
but you're staying still?
He chuckles a little bit.
No,
he doesn't understand.
No one ever does.
She sinks her teeth
into his flesh.
It's for the best,
she tells herself.
This way
he can stay innocent.
He will never feel the pain
she feels.
The whole time
there's another face she's seeing
before her eyes.
Another face that deserves this more.
Someone she would like to
forget.
But only after he got
punished.
Now, it's time.
She straightens her back
and kicks the front door down.
It's time.
Fear fills those brown eyes.
The very eyes that have
haunted
her every
nightmare.
In that night the world ended.
But she got her
revenge
and that's all that really
matters.

deep is the one word that comes to my mind as well as revenge. i like how in the poem it explains how you feel and that the person is tired of the torment and decided to revenge. and that after what the person does, they are haunted by the eyes of the boy, so it tells me that the revenge has consequences that the person realizes but doesnt care because they think its worth the revenge.
