fiftynine

A Chapter by ((Teenage_Poet_Loser))

Look at the camera, smile

fake in intention

pure in hate

death an image of remorse

remorse the product of sorrow.

We look at the art of hate

the art of self-pity

this is what life turned into;

a game of self-indulges

who will be the fattest at the end?

A world of challenges,

hatred at the top

greed, glop.

Smile i said.

Minimalistic, but well-written.
I enjoyed this piece. :)
The emotions are clear and the somewhat demanding tone fits it well.

I like this one a lot. You really have a cool style down for yourself, that eschews typical poetic imagery and metaphor for more intense, edgier stuff. This poem starts out with a benign opening line about smiling for a camera, and then goes on to brutally dissect fake-ness and other vices in people, and you pulled it off well. I love that ending as well, nice job:)

Never read any of the chapter before but now i'm interested at how someone feels underneath the scope of life whether you're a model or an everyone day person.

Photography, yes, capturing the mask, never the emotion. I like this. It is bitter and yet so understanding. If we actually had photographs taken of how we really felt, I have no doubt 95% of them would just be us screaming.
