Automatic movements
precise actions,
like a robot
moving
in
the
same
patterns
every
day.
Our life’s have become
movements of habits,
spontaneous, what does that even mean?
Day by day-
days fly past-
what do we live for,
the question answers itself.
Movements of automation
actions driven by precision,
our days have been numbered,
but we still count every day...
It sounds a bit like a poem about the monotony of life, how it goes on and on in mindless repetition. Can probably be related to that of the average guy who works the endless shifts, comes home, eats dinner, watches television, passes out, repeat. That there is no real change within and we live as mindless robots but its not really living is it? More like surviving and existing...taking up space.
Nice author's note haha, and yet this poem is very meaningful and speaks a lot within the words you wrote. I really like this a lot, and I do mean a lot. The reality in this, the way people are caught up in the same pattern and routines of days and not so much spontaneous. I really like the way you brought this out into the poem. I can not pick a favorite part in this for I enjoyed it all from beginning to end, even the fitting title. I love this. I feel exactly like this. Though I guess a lot of us live in our comfort zones.
This seems to be about the monotony of repeating the same preprogrammed actions every day. The simple act that catches so many that its like they live in a bubble. their own private isolated universe. You capture this perfectly. Great write sir
Sounds to me like thoughts about how were members of a machine, a universal machine that has parts that must be replaced every so often. Death is natural counterbalance I guess. It's a philosophical piece that's for sure.
What I got out of it is how society is getting rid of individualism and conforming us all the be the same to the point where the things we do are just sort of 'automatic' to what everyone else is doing or what is marked as 'right'. I liked the poem :) well done..
I think life's in line 11 is supposed to be lives?
