The Last

I saw the tear in your eye,
Rolling down your face
as the sobs continue.
Fear struck
You look back at me
For a second I recognised you
But it was only for a second...
You close your eyes
Then breathe the last breath
you have.
Leaving behind sorrow
My tear drops on your shirt
