we are but puppets

we are but puppets

A Poem by ((Teenage_Poet_Loser))

we are but puppets
strings attached to our backs
we dance we walk we talk
like a puppet
controlled by the marionette
life is only the show
we live for applause
we live for acceptance
we are but puppets on a string
performing a everlasting show
until the strings brake
off we fall from the stage
the audience look as our strings shrink
our wooden eyes close and
a tear
        a tear - what seems -
like             a tear
drop down my face....

a nice twist to the pinoccio story, and very descriptive as well. I like the flow you gave this piece as well, it seems to have a nice steady pace untill it fades out at the end. Very well written and the thought behind the poem is thought provoking. Cant wait to read more!
