INTERNET FRIENDS

INTERNET FRIENDS

A Poem by TRISHA PRASAD

We are lost in this special world

A world of words and images

Sitting down tucked up and curled

Waiting for your mails and messages.

It was one fortunate day, we met

While just sitting before a screen

We`ve never seen the other, yet,

It seems like friends for years we`ve been.

We may not know how the other lives

Or how they are in person

But we would know the ideas she gives

And our common likes this season.

Sitting and texting each other all day

Engrossed and captivated by it all

Tales and stories of far away,

Talks about thoughts we scrawl.

This would be friendship at its best

Getting to know many at one go.

Scroll through pages and send a request

All this without travelling to and fro.

Instagram, facebook, twitter and more

No matter where, they`re there for you.

Internet friends you`ve never seen before

Are there to help forget your rue.
