rewind

i know she thinks about me. its complicated she says

but living and lovings never been easy

so please believe me i know i made mistakes

if i could turn back time and just rewind i’d never have done those things

i always think about this, the grey and our last kiss

i miss those lips that could so easily make me slip

into a moment of bliss, even through all the stress

it was still the best, worth every risk and every step

and i hope you’re sitting alone thinking of me like i know you do

this is all for you, why fight the truth  lets make this wish come true

if i could go to the start id steal your heart

It's good, the way you lay yourself out on the butcher block, asking someone to come along and carve you up. They will... they'll start with the buts then go to the hands and the heart. It's all down hill from there - soup kitchen fare. A word of advice, try really hard not put them on a pedestal or treat them like the toys in the box in your closet. That just pisses them off; even though they won't say so. It's the "not saying so" that will get you in the end. You're not perfect and neither are they. Start from that and move forward.
