Wondering Mind

i cant sleep...its 4am...and i cant sleep...

 

I can’t sleep tonight

There’s too much on my mind

I need him to hold me tight

To tell me everything will be alright

To calm me down and help me find my sight

Voices in my head are pulling me left and right

 

I just want to forget

To fly away like a jet

 

Thoughts are swarming throughout my mind

Want to hold up a big ol’ sign

To stop everything at one time

 

I want him to hold me tight

Help me find my sight

“Fragile” should be posted on my forehead

To warn those around me

That damage could easily be done

 

I need him to be my shield

To block all the blows that may come my way

Plenty of damage has already been done

He may be able to patch me up

But scars will remain

Forever on my heart

 

Cheerless tears will always come

Pain, I will forever feel

Patches will be made

Those memories will never fade

 

Can I be saved?

I loved reading it. I love the warm feeling it gave that you needed that special someone to be by your side, and like the colder side that you were having difficulties. Nice poem.
