"Pot of Gold"

I just recently wrote this poem. I wrote it to brighten up a friend of mine,which i did.

You say you're goin' down a hill

That you're goin' further and further

And further down into sadness

That there's no returning

 

And I'm gonna tell you

You're getting to the end of your rainbow

That there is no return because you'll

Find your "pot of gold"

 

You tell me to not even think that way

That you have to watch out for everyone else

We are like threads that you are holding onto

ANd that you don't know how long we'll be there

 

I'm watching out for you too

I won't let go

Even if I'm the last thread hangin'

I'll be there for you to hold onto

 

You say you're goin' down a hill

I tell you that you're reaching the end of your rainbow

You tell me differently

But I'm telling you that you're getting

Closer to your "pot of gold"

I wrote this poem for a friend of mine to make him smile & I achieved that. So go ahead and review my poem, I would like to see what you think of it too.

It put a nice smile on my face as well. It was quite cute, and good way to tell your friend you will stick with them not matter what they are going through. I would write a poem like that...but I'm bad with poetry, ha ha. Any way, really nice. I liked it very much.
