In the city of Suriname lived a man name Eduart who was the father of two boys who fondle with everything they saw and this bother Eduart for he knew one day they would fondle the wrong thing so he prayed and decided to teach his sons a lesson about trust and obedience . Well one day after the morning prayer Eduart sat his sons down and said “My sons do you trust me?” Of course baba his sons replied Eduart then said how much do you value my judgment?” Oh baba your judgment is well for we believe you are rightly guided and what a blessing from The Almighty we have been given to have a father like you replied the sons. Eduart took a deep breath and said “Well my sons I say to you keep away from the green pastures on the west of us. My sons keep never cross the pond north of us and last of all do not feed or befriend the jaguar, vicuna, and tapir.” The boys replied “O’ yes baba we shall obey” Eduart then go up and went to care for his crops and soon as Eduart was out of sight one brother said to the other “I wonder why baba told us those things I think he is hiding something form us or maybe he is trying to control us or being over protective and we are grown for we can determine right from wrong” the other brother said “Yes I agree with you lets go see” the boys then got up and ran through green pastures on the west side then they stopped and one brother said “ I saw nothing baba was just messing with us” Yes he was now let’s said the other brother now let us cross the river” The brothers then crossed the rive then one brother said “ Nothing let us go feed the animals and play with them” The boys went off and ran into a young jaguar and the feed him fish and played with him then they kept on with their journey and ran in to a vicuna and they feed it and rode on its back till they were tired then they went on with their journey back home and they saw a tapir going into the river so they went in to the river and started playing with the tapir then they came out of the river and the tapir stated to follow them everywhere so they begun to run as fast as they could until they could not see the tapir anymore. After ten minutes of running passed they stopped and quickly one brother said “ O’ my that was close let’s go home and get rest for it is late and I know baba is well asleep for the last prayer comes in early and he goes to sleep right after prayer so we will be unnoticed on our return and baba would never know we left.” The boys then walked home and went straight to sleep however, the morning came quick and the call to the village gathering floated in the air the boys got up washed and went to the gathering However, after the gathering a announcement was made that a jaguar killed some live stock and a vicuna destroyed a man’s garden the boy looked at one another and got up and walked home, but before they could enter their home Eduart stopped them and said “My sons do you trust me?” Of course baba his sons replied Eduart then said how much do you value my judgment?” Oh baba your judgment is well for we believe you are rightly guided and what a blessing you are to everyone in our tribe and we are extremely privileged to have been given to have a father like you replied the sons. Eduart took a deep breath and said “Well my sons if this is true why then you go in the green pastures for I know that you went because you have rashes on your face from the poison of the vines. If you what you say is true my sons why is in that you have leech bites on your flesh ? is it because you crossed the rive? If what you say is true then why is there a jaguar and vicuna in town and why is there a tapir in the house?” the boys put their head down and said “ Baba we are sorry for we disobeyed you please forgive us”
