Isolation

I really love the mellow song by John Lennon. It got to me to the point to where I wrote this.

I don't want to be this way
All my life.
Running away when I
Feel out of my comfort zone.
Watching a group of people form,
Talking, laughing at their inside jokes,
I'd feel left out, a bother,
And leave.
None of us are meant to be alone.
It's how we function.
People say I'm such a nice girl.
So gentle and lovable.
Truth be told,
I'm just scared.
I'm scared of someone rejecting me
Because I did something
Unintentionally.
I'm afraid of this world, mama.
I know you can understand to a certain point,
But not all.
Isolation.
My escape.
Isolated,
From everyone.
