Matter of Mind

Matter of Mind

A Poem by Richard Williams
"

The value of clear thought.

"

Reach high into the starry night,

imagine space-time harmony;
create a stream of probing light
high in the sky for all to see.
Allow yourself all points of view
regarding life and liberty;
draw breaths of knowledge, old and new
since knowledge holds that special key.

Ask questions for our benefit,
climb mountains so to speak of love.
Round off the edge with reason's bit,
oppose the jackal with the dove.
Start conversation with the day
till sunlight fades and moonlight glows;
it is to think along the way...
clear minds are sweeter than the rose.

I like the wisdom imparted and the form execution of this poem. The only thought I have for improvement is turning the absolute statements into suggestive thoughts that leaves conclusions to perceptive audiences. Just something I generally attempt to do. Nice the way it is too.
