Reflecting Serenity

Reflecting Serenity

A Poem by Richard Williams
"

The quiet of a special place.

"

There is a quiet place I know,

isolated and serene,

far from the madness
that sometimes overtakes the spirit;
there, the softness of the wind
penetrates the senses,
and with each intake of breath,
like the flash of meteors
that etch the sky
with whispers of yesteryear,
you perceive a glittering light
that renews the very core of your being.

There is a silent spot I go,
undeveloped and pristine,
away from the stress
that pulls so hard you can hear it;
it is far from daytime din
and privacy fences,
and it waves goodbye to death.
Its very nature implores
a heartfelt sigh
and a longing to be near.
Essential stars define the night,
wherein your soul knows peace that silence brings.

On reading this poem….I feel that you are depicting what one feels while in meditation….
It seems all theses are what we go deep into silence in the peek moments of meditation….
Feel that you are a person who practices meditation regularly….
Loved the poem so much…

Oh I want to go to this place you talk about right now.
Very well written, well done.

I can imagine this peaceful place, the soft wind and the view of the night sky...makes me sigh and relax. I love to sit in these special places. Thanks for sharing this lovely poem.
