Reflecting SerenityA Poem by Richard WilliamsThe quiet of a special place. There is a quiet place I know, isolated and serene, that sometimes overtakes the spirit; there, the softness of the wind penetrates the senses, and with each intake of breath, like the flash of meteors that etch the sky with whispers of yesteryear, you perceive a glittering light that renews the very core of your being. There is a silent spot I go, undeveloped and pristine, away from the stress that pulls so hard you can hear it; it is far from daytime din and privacy fences, and it waves goodbye to death. Its very nature implores a heartfelt sigh and a longing to be near. Essential stars define the night, wherein your soul knows peace that silence brings. © 2010 Richard WilliamsReviews
