Glory

Glory

A Poem by Richard Williams
"

Light and love.

"

Could there be shards of doubtful thought
when gazing at the sun today?
Could the sky, ablaze with fire,
banish all belief away?
What but glory could describe
such rays of tender love?
Cradling the ground below
from towers high above.

Could the rays of the sun be caught
and duplicated in our mind?
Could our eyes see toward the light
and leave the darkness far behind?
What would be the reason
to forgo supreme design?
Only glory could account
for such resplendent shine.
