wake up

wake up

A Poem by teapot

warm hands; cold heart,

lies, fibs and alibis.

how much agony can one endure

and swallow its pride?

open your eyes, my heartless dear,

let hardened heart surrender

set loose and be free from suffocating chains,

someone’s awaiting on the horizon.

turn your back not to past,

welcome the break of dawn;

savor the sweetness of a new day,
with opened arms to another beginning!

yesterday came to pass.

breathe in today;

lie in wait for tomorrow,

let rays of light radiate to its peak.

love, patience and perseverance
I bid you, calloused heart

take a glance to the side of you

and not always to the one in front of you.

surprised no one has commented on this...I feel as if I can eat it all by myself. There is affection in your frankness, 'open your eyes, my heartless dear' - made me smile. Thankyou.
