Boot Boy

There is this guy i know

i have never met him

i don't even know what he looks like

all i know is that he wears boots

 

 

i see him in my dreams

although his face lies in blurs

his boots are clear as day

and they have shown bravery on the front line

 

 

these boots have been through war

along with peace and fear

what do these boots look like again

oh yeah they are in my dreams

 

 

i look for this guy with the boots

and every time i meet a new guy

i look for his shoes and hope it will show

but most of the time he is just wearing sneakers

 

 

where have these boots been

i hope they have been in war

i hope the guy is a marine

but what if he is a lawyer

 

 

i would rather a marine

but who's to say who's right

what if i'm looking for the wrong sign

what if i need to look for a guy with love

 

 

a guy with love for animals

but children aswell and then me

what if he has a big enough heart

and it is just right for me

 

 

would he still be wearing those boots?

would he have the boots with the heart

the boots that have seen sorrow and victory

the heart that loves all

 

 

what if i was still looking for the wrong thing

i need a guy with personality

this guy has personality

is it possible to have all three together

 

 

a personality like mine

a personality that is like describing water

apersonality that is imposible to describe

that would be my type of guy

 

 

i don't know where i would find this guy

but maybe if i dance with God a little longer

God will let this guy cut in

and take my heart forever more

 

 

that is the guy i need

the guy who is a marine or a lawyer

even though the marine is preferred

a guy who stands for what he believes in

 

 

i need this guy

the one with the big enough heart

the guy who loves animals, children, and me

a guy who is not afraid to say it loud

 

 

the guy i need

has a great personality

the type that is so great you can't describe

like the taste of water

 

 

the guy i need is in my dreams

i don't know what he looks like

but i will hope that i know when i meet him

this guy is great

 

 

but like i said

i will dance with God a little longer

and when He has found the right guy

God will let him cut in and dance with me
