“Destiny’s Whisper”

“Destiny’s Whisper”

A Poem by Crow

Gently awakened from a fervid slumber,

by a tender dove-like sigh.

I beheld a faint golden shadow,

shielded behind a misty vale.

Sweat did stream from my throbbing temples,

my heart pulsed with loving desire.

Now her blissful tone does fill me,

and fragrant auburn waves endure.

My heart yearns for her ardent murmur,

as tawny pools touch the depths of my core.

Might this be sweet destiny’s whisper,

uttering her enchanting lure.

With all my being I sense tender fervor,

hope touches the breadth of my soul.

No longer destined to wander this earth in longing,

our two spirits thus entwined as one.

Really interesting read. It has the feeling of a love poem but the description makes it seem dark and almost forbidden; like a secret love that only comes at night in reality or in dreams.
