Making Wise ChoicesA Poem by Bob BWhen an election affects you directly, And human rights are clearly at stake, You have a very good reason to worry: The situation is make or break.
When voters' decisions are swayed by untruths Prejudice, or even the curse Of hard-to-swallow religious dogma, Such decisions are truly perverse.
When people look at their ballots and say "THAT issue doesn't affect me at all," They do not care that other people Might be up against a wall.
When people feel complacent and comfy In their own lives and do not try To see the bigger picture, they often Ignore an issue and turn a blind eye.
However, when voters think about others And say, "This ISN'T just about me," Then their choices truly affect The greater good of humanity.
