Wander the WorldA Poem by Talia
Won’t you wander the world with me?
I desire to see everything with you Across the globe, we can leave our trace Life wasn’t meant to be lived in one place I have airplane tickets for two And I want your sweet company Caught in the neon lights in Times Square Or dancing on the cobbled streets of Rio We can be breaking bread in Italy And drinking their wine too easily Gazing from the tallest towers in Tokyo Knowing that our view at home can’t compare Running across Amsterdam’s misty tulip rows We’ll roam through Paris just to waste our days And sit in the sand watching sunsets in Colombia They can’t compete to the skies in California Waking up to Israel’s greeting dawning rays Take me where the wind blows and it snows We’ll dream under the stars in Morocco But those days in London we’ll love the most You could hold me close and tight at night When we’re beneath the Northern Lights Pull me in like the waves on the west coast Conviértete en mi Amante Latino en México Let’s get lost in Strawberry Fields Forever And feel the weight fall off our shoulders Won’t you wander the world with me? And moonlight swim in the Caribbean sea To feel like we’re finding four-leaf clovers Let’s go anywhere as long as we’re together © 2020 TaliaReviews
