Hopelessly HopefulA Poem by Talia
I woke up again with a heavy heart
Hating the fact that we're apart I need a little light to come into my life What did I do to deserve this strife? Day by day with a frown on my face Cause my life is moving at a slow pace It looks like I'm dragging my feet But I just can't wait for us to meet Hopelessly, I'll be waiting at your door Hopefully, I'm the one you're looking for Hopelessly I'll be tossing rocks at your window Hopefully, you won't be afraid of cupid's arrow I just want this to be over You're my four-leaf clover So I guess that I'm the fool Who’s so hopelessly hopeful You tell me that you're done And this waiting isn't fun I'll get you to be excited Until your heart’s ignited Hopelessly, I'll be waiting at your door Hopefully, I'm the one you're looking for Hopelessly I'll be tossing rocks at your window Hopefully, you won't be afraid of cupid's arrow I just want this to be over You're my four-leaf clover So I guess that I'm the fool Who’s so hopelessly hopeful Every time I feel like giving up You pick my broken pieces up I don't mean to be desperate But I just have to express it Hopelessly he’ll be waiting at my door Hopefully, he's the one I'm looking for Hopelessly he’ll be tossing rocks at my window Hopefully, I won't be afraid of cupid's arrow But I guess that I’m the fool Who’s so hopelessly hopeful © 2020 Talia |
