I believe in fate
But it makes me wait
In these times of doubt
And feeling down and out

I believe in fate
But the road isn't straight
With an unexpected turn
As these two hearts burn

I believe in fate
Like butterflies on a date
While I can see the signs
I'm stuck on the sidelines

I believe in fate
It's never early or late
And it doesn't seem fair
Just to sit here and stare

With all these misgivings
And hints of longings
I still believe in fate
And you're worth the wait
