Who am I Suppose to Be?

Who am I Suppose to Be?

A Poem by Talia
"

Not knowing your place in this world.

"

I'm losing my mind
one day at a time
I'm being dragged under
With the cold and the thunder

Bring me to better days
I'm low in many ways
The demons are in my eyes
Under the blackest skies

I don’t even feel like me
Who am I suppose to be?

I'm only going through the motions
Trying to swallow my emotions
My life looks a little frightening
When I'm lost within the lightning

So I made some bad choices
Now I'm cursed with voices
Always screaming in my head
Saying that I'm better off dead

What happened to the strength in me?
And who am I suppose to be?

It's the worst kind of pain
When you don't mind the rain
So numb you can't feel
And don't know what is real

What is next for me?
Who am I suppose to be?

This is something like to rediscover yourself. The rhymes sets out the tune while the message is clear and loud. Who I am supposed to be is very punchy.

A soft and quiet answer to that one , "Yourself." This had a taste of aloneness and feeling the "walls" tightening. This is one really hard time to be learning how to live with one's self or even by yourself. Many never really learned how before the advent of this pandemic. Even oldtimers have difficulties dealing with their nows. BUT - you - aren't - alone. Nice meeting you. Laters...

It's true. Everybody needs to find who they truly are. Thanks for reading.
