There's just no time...

There's just no time...

A Poem by Trevor Bergshoeff
"

Sometimes life just gets really busy and all you want to do is go away and forget about it.

"

I wish I could go to New York and be an artist

Or

Climb atop a mountain peak and look down upon the world below.

Just for fun.

Just to be on top.

I would write poems,

And stories,

And think…

I think, I have no time to think.

Nor

Do the people of today.

I think I have roles to fill.

I am white, I’m male,

A student, a teacher,

A Christian, a son, a brother,

A husband, a father.

There is no time to think. There is no time for art.

But,

Art will always have time for those willing.

But life, life strangles and stifles when, instead

It should relieve, and give oxygen to those so deprived of fresh air.

But,

We have no time for fresh air.

We have no time to think….
