no longer

no longer

A Poem by tcpaessler

I can no longer wait for you

as the watchman waits for the morning

the hours already grow long

and I must go east through this dark night

I can no longer wait for you

as the world waits all through the winter

the seed is already against the soil

and must break free into life

I can no longer wait for you

as the storm cloud pregnant with rain

I must shine and quake

and give my gift to the earth

terrible

and awesome

I can no longer wait for you.

Sometimes, man kind needs a little humiliation, followed with a head butt knocking out a few front teeth.

I like the feeling of the poem and the repetition made the poem stronger.
"I can no longer wait for you

and must break free into life"
Thank you for the outstanding poem.
