Sonnet on Separation I

Sonnet on Separation I

A Poem by Trevor Jay Bloodworth

What is there to love when you are what's gone?

A shinning example of love astray.

I can do nothing but take my chance on,

A life that does nothing but lead away.

Another time perhaps we will be near,

Close to ourselves while close to our own hearts.

But not close enough to you I do fear,

So I mourn with the help of my own arts.

Being gone I can do nothing but feel,

Alone in separation and my guilt.

That you are long gone, spinning on life's wheel.

And that I took our love straight to the hilt.

With what's gone there can never again be,

A life of love and bright lights sanctity.
