I'll Wait

I'll Wait

A Poem by Thomas Philmore Jackson

I'll wait

My feelings,
Are still unresolved,
I’m not sure,
What I’m feeling,

So you need to know,
I’ll wait for you,
Until everything is right,
or until I stop believing in forever.

We’re still friends, right?
I should be able to tell you this,
But I don’t feel like I can,
It’s so hard to find the right words,
Is that so hard to comprehend?

I also don’t want to destroy what we had,
Because your love means a lot to me,

So I’ll wait for you,
Until we’re both sure,
Or the feelings disappear,

So I’ll be right here waiting for you,
Let me know when your ready,
Don’t let me down,
Because forever wont wait.

This is a beautiful openhearted piece and well heard plea for understanding. If someone takes it for what it
is it can be a turning point on which build a stronger relationship. I see one little error you forgot the ' in won't still. Great job.

I enjoyed reading this...and I agree with everyone else, it is a plea for love...for understanding. A wonderful way to reach out to another! Great work!!

Not gonna lie, the last line sounds very clich'e, but other than that, I loved this! I thought that the first stanza really set everything off well. The whole idea that one feels that his/her feelings are "unresolved" is great. I thought this explain being love sick pretty well. I have totally felt like this. Aweomse write! Thanks for entering my contest! =D

This piece is like reading my life right now. I feel like you are writing to me all the things I want to be reading from a man in my life or something like that. It seems so simple the way you write but the themes and emotions are so complicated. Waiting, anticipation is one of the most painful experiences. Great piece.

Great thoughts on love and those moments when we have to make a choice...in the last stanza I believe you mean you're not your. Nice thoughts. Thank you for sharing.
