Bridge to HomeA Poem by Tina BA tired woman's journey home, and the joy she finds on the way.
To that gentle rising bridge,
Connecting her two worlds, She rushes anxiously home, Seeking refuge from the day. Toil fading behind her, On this gentle rising bridge, That spans the diamond ocean. Now the dazzling view awaits. At last! The peak! An avian delight! Her eyes dancing with the sea. Atop this gentle rising bridge, Her spirit taking flight. Then downward ever softly With great blue heron as her guide. Off this gentle rising bridge, Longing now for home. © 2011 Tina B |
