What I see in Her

What I see in Her

A Poem by J. M. Yeary

Her words…

Soft whispers of passion’s intentions
Melt over me with each sweet syllable
Caressing my ears, my heart, my soul

Her beauty…
Has no rival to envy over
Eyes like an emerald ocean
An aphrodisiac that consumes me

Her mind…
Boundless perception and verve
Capturing life’s acquaintance
Such vitality evokes my thirst

Her soul…
Where my heart’s days linger
In sweet rapture, longing for her
Where I awaken, desire, and live

Her touch…
Soft caresses tantalize my being
Her fingers tease my soul, and rouse desire
Clutching my heart in her sensual grasp

Her love…
Such sweet and utter perfection
Seizing my being with all she is
A perfect union of heart and soul

All of her…
All words fall tragically short of description
Full of endless wonder, flawless precision
Fulfillment she brings with each gentle kiss

I love it...all of it. Don't even have a favorite line or anything, it's all great. Such beautiful words put together to flow so nicely down the page. I hope I hear words like that someday....*sigh*

I like this stanza the best because it spoke to me......
"Her soul
Where my hearts days linger
In sweet rapture, longing for her
Where I awaken, desire, and live."
Great lines of love for a lucky lady.
Thanks for sharring J.

A beautiful flow to the words with just enough sensitivity so as not to be over done.

One of your best works yet.

Hey Hubba

Lucky lucky woman...to have a man write a poem like this about her...makes me *sigh* with such beauty, desiring those words to be whispered to me...definatly a heart stopper for women.
Your style has a gentle flow that lulls the reader into romantic trance, carressing with each gentle yet powerful line.
I cannot chose my fave stanza, tis all perfection, I never had heard of the word "verve" I thought it was a typo, I looked it up and found the definition: enthusiasm or vigor, vivaciousness; liveliness; animation...wow, she is some woman!
Thankyou for sharing this, it is pure beauty for your heart.

aw, those are the kind of words that send a girls heart skipping a beat or two....
beautiful..
who ever your lady is, she must consider herself very lucky to have a guy who can appreciate her so much.

and "aphrodisiac"? OooooOOoooooo! nice touch ;)
you don't hear that word a lot:)

Crafted like a sculpture .....with loving hands.
I love the momentum of emotions in this.
I get a mental picture .....of a scene from the movie "Ghost".....where the girl is sitting at a potters wheel working some clay....in comes Patrick Swayze....and well...
The Art is consumed in their passion
Here the passion is consumed in your art

The repiticious beginning in each stanza really works this up
This is a keeper ....
No doubt a selllable piece !!!
10 thumbs UP !!! even though I only have two

Blesssssssssssssss

I discovered this poem while I was looking through an old cemetery book at the courthouse in Crowell, Texas--a very good depiction of what most of us feel as we venture through life. Surely (at least .. more..
