What I see in Her

What I see in Her

A Poem by J. M. Yeary

Her words…

Soft whispers of passion’s intentions
Melt over me with each sweet syllable
Caressing my ears, my heart, my soul

Her beauty…
Has no rival to envy over
Eyes like an emerald ocean
An aphrodisiac that consumes me

Her mind…
Boundless perception and verve
Capturing life’s acquaintance
Such vitality evokes my thirst

Her soul…
Where my heart’s days linger
In sweet rapture, longing for her
Where I awaken, desire, and live

Her touch…
Soft caresses tantalize my being
Her fingers tease my soul, and rouse desire
Clutching my heart in her sensual grasp

Her love…
Such sweet and utter perfection
Seizing my being with all she is
A perfect union of heart and soul

All of her…
All words fall tragically short of description
Full of endless wonder, flawless precision
Fulfillment she brings with each gentle kiss

The gentle romance and sweet sensuality of your words makes this poem simply elegant! There is a classic feel to it...an old fashioned love song. Wonderful work! Lydia

All words fall tragically short of description- that says it all perfectly. Too much t & a on tv has ruined the romantic sentiments of a generation. You give me hope.

This is a love story. I would send this to my wife of 33 years and know how she would accept it. This is not for a Halmark card this is real and very deeply passionate. You are more that just a writer with this type of work. You are a Poet!
