Midnight SrenityA Poem by J. M. Yeary
All is dark except for the moon
Hanging from the Midnight sky
At first glance it appears to stand alone
The only object to bring light
The all at once I see the stars
Their beauty holds my eyes
Never to be forgotten
Lighting up the midnight sky
I watch the leaves rustle on the ground
As the cool night air surrounds me
Everything seems so still
Except for the song the crickets sing
I rise to stand taking one last look
As a feeling of peace comes over me
I open the door and go inside
Leaving behind the nights serenity
