Midnight Srenity

Midnight Srenity

A Poem by J. M. Yeary

All is dark except for the moon
Hanging from the Midnight sky
At first glance it appears to stand alone
The only object to bring light

The all at once I see the stars
Their beauty holds my eyes
Never to be forgotten
Lighting up the midnight sky

I watch the leaves rustle on the ground
As the cool night air surrounds me
Everything seems so still
Except for the song the crickets sing

I rise to stand taking one last look
As a feeling of peace comes over me
I open the door and go inside
Leaving behind the nights serenity

Funny how one night out of hundreds we find poetic enough to write about, this was very sweet I could almost see what you were seeing through your words...Well done.

I love the flow of this piece. As I read each line, a sense of tranquility overcame me stimulating all my senses. You portray such vivid images with grace. I won't see the moon and stars the same way. Wonderful read and write. **Smile**

This piece evokes a feeling of peacefulness and as you put it "serenity"
I love how you have given me a vision of what you felt and saw that stary night. I love the moon, the stars and the ocean, perfect settings for romance and inspiration.

Beautiful, thankyou for sharing.
