(On the beach)

Tay: (Beach ball hits her in the head) OUCH, What the hell (See’s Adam running over)

Adam: I am so sorry (Grabs the ball) Does it hurt? Do you need ice?

Tay: I’m fine, I think

Adam: Good to hear (Grins) Mind if I sit for a minute?

Tay: (Moves her bag over) not at all, I’m Taylor, but everyone calls me Tay

Adam: (Sits down) I’m Adam

Tay: Your best friends with Austin…

Adam: Ya (Rubs his neck) I am sorry for what he did to you, no one should have to go through that

Tay: You better go the last person who talked to me ended up in the hospital

Adam: don’t worry; He is gone with his family for a week

Tay: hmm, Adam, can I ask you something?

Adam: Anything

Tay: Does he do it to all the girls he dated? I mean…

Adam: (Sighs) As far as I know, ya he has, He has a temper, and a jealous streak

Tay: (rubs her arm) that much I do know

Adam: Can I see?

Tay: (Shows him the bruises on her arm) their fading, thank god

Adam: Hey, there is a beach thing going on tonight, maybe you will come?

Tay: Sure, why not, beats staying at home (Gathers her stuff) but I think it is time I get home, Tonight is my night to cook supper

Adam: Well, it was nice meeting you

Tay: Same here (Takes off to her car)

Adam: (Heads back to Kyle and Kody) Sorry guys, I got distracted

Kyle: Ya, we seen you chatting up that girl, who is she?

Adam: Austin’s ex girlfriend, Tay

Kody: S**t dude, you should leave that one alone

Adam: Look, Austin does have a jealous streak, And scares the crap out of everyone, But honestly, maybe it was time someone stood up to him

Kyle: Anyway (Grabs his surf board) Surfs up (Grins)

(The boys grab their boards and hit the waves, At Tay’s house)

Tay: (Opens the door and puts stuff down) Mom, Megan, I’m home (Goes into the living room) Hey Megan, Where’s mom?

Megan: (Flips a page in her magazine) upstairs, she had a headache so she went to bed

Tay: Hmm, How does spaghetti sound for supper?

Megan: Need some help?

Tay: Sure thing, I am going to check on mom, then we will get supper started (Heads upstairs) Mom? (Opens the door) you ok? Do you need something?

Ashley: (Looks at Tay) No thanks, I already took a pill, what’s for supper? Do you need some help?

Tay: (sits on the edge of the bed) No thanks, Megan said she would help me

Ashley: (Holds her hand) you two have always been close; me and my sister were close to

Tay: So I have been told (Kisses her forehead) Promise me, if this headache keeps coming back, you will go see the doctor?

Ashley: I promise, what would I do without you

Tay: Most likely you would be fine, I have to go do supper, and I will call you when it is ready

Ashley: thanks honey (Closes her eyes)

(Tay and Megan Make supper, while cleaning up Tay brings up the beach bonfire)

Tay: Mom, Do you mind if I go out for a bit tonight?

Ashley: (Putting away dishes) Where are you going, and who else is going?

Tay: Well, it is on the beach, and just people from around here will be there

Ashley: Hmm, I don’t know…

Tay: (Wipes down the counters) Mom, don’t worry please, I am not going to drink, and I think Jackie and Manda are going to be there

Ashley: Well, ok then, but please be responsible, you have a key, so please just be in by dawn

Tay: Sure thing mom, Thanks (Kisses her cheek)

(Later on, Tay comes down the hill and see’s Jackie)

Jackie: So you decided to come (Hugs her) did you bring your swim suit?

Tay: Underneath my clothes, and my towel is in my bag

Manda: (Comes running over) TAY!!!! (Hugs her tightly) How are you?

Tay: Good, how was your 2 weeks at your dads?

Manda: Boring, as usual

Tay: Poor manda, I bet she had to get dressed and everything

Manda: Yes I did (shudders) but now that I am home, I can live in my bathing suit and Pj’s

Tay: (See’s Adam coming over with Kody and Kyle) Omg, Is that… Kyle?

Jackie: Mhmm, He looks so much… older now, and he looks…well

Tay: Sexy?

Jackie: That’s one way of putting it (Giggles)

Manda: And the other boy is Kody (Sighs) the one boy who I will never get

Tay: Why not? (Hands out pop)

Manda: (Opens the can and takes a sip) because, he doesn’t notice girls like me

Adam: Tay you made it (Grins)

Tay: that I did (Smiles)

Adam: Well this is Kyle and Kody, Kyle is my brother, Kody is our best friend since birth, guys this is the girl I told you about

Tay: I know Kyle, and it nice to know you Kody, this is Jackie, and Manda, My best friends, since kindergarten

Kody: Nice meeting you To Tay, Uh, Manda, do you surf?

Manda: (Blushes) A little bit, my brother taught me

Kody: It is perfect time to surf, care to join me?

Manda: I don’t have a board

Kyle: Use mine (Smiles)

Manda: Ummm if you’re sure (Takes his board and follows Kody)

Kyle: Uh, Jackie, would you care to come dance?

Jackie: (Looks at Tay) Uhh…

Tay: Go ahead (Pushes her) Go have fun

Adam: I will keep Tay Company if she would like

Tay: That would be nice, Go ahead Jackie (Smiles)

Jackie: Then I would love to dance (Follows Kyle to the band)

Adam: They seem nice (Sits beside her)

Tay: They are, They worry about me way to much though, You see, I had a mental breakdown after… well you know, they are worried I am going to breakdown again

Adam: Sorry to hear that (Draws in the sand with a stick) so tell me about yourself

Tay: hmm, I am a very good cook, and baker to, I love sitting on the beach, I have a sister and 2 brothers, my dad left when I was born, And my sisters dad left when she was born, I do enjoy surfing sometimes, but I more prefer just sitting back and enjoying a day, what about you?

Adam: Well I have a mom and dad, and one brother, I can cook, not very well, but I do a few simple meals, I enjoy anything outdoors, and my favorite sport would have to be baseball

Tay: You like baseball to?

Adam: Mhmm, Hey would you like to dance?

Tay: I can’t dance (blushes) I have two left feet

Adam: (Stands in front of her and holds out his hand) Come on, I will teach you, I teach kids how to dance on Saturdays, so I think I can teach you (Grins)

Tay: (Grabs his hand) so you teach little kids?

Adam: Well all ages actually, I help out with the kid’s shelter

Tay: Hmm (Steps on his foot) Sorry about that

Adam: It’s fine

(Adam and Tay are dancing when Jackie shows up)

Jackie: Hey Tay, Your actually dancing? (Sits down on the bench)

Tay: Well trying

Adam: Actually, you’re doing really well, so did you kill Kyle or something?

Jackie: (Laughing) omg no, we actually fell in the lake, He went to get us drinks

Tay: Playing titanic again? (Sits down beside Jackie and pulls Adam down beside her)

Adam: Tay, Would you like a drink?

Tay: Actually I would

Adam: Two smoothies coming right up (Takes off to the bar)

Jackie: (Turns towards Tay) so… details!

Tay: (Blushes) He plays baseball, Can cook a little bit, has one brother, and helps out at the kid’s shelter

Jackie: (Sighs) He sounds too good to be true, Then again so does Kyle, He can cook, Loves the outdoors, has one brother, and a very good dancer

Tay: (Chuckles) so good you two fell in the lake?

Jackie: No, we fell when he was giving me a piggy back ride

Tay: I see, is manda having fun?

Jackie: From what I saw her and Kody are having a blast, she is actually out surfing him

Tay: Hmm (Looks towards the lake) Jackie, I think I like Adam

Jackie: Well he does seem nice, so what’s the problem?

Tay: Austin is, He still loves me, Remember what he did to Casey? I don’t want Adam to suffer because of me (Hugs her knees to her chest and leans against Jackie)

Jackie: (Plays with her hair) don’t worry ok? Me, and Kyle, Kody and Amanda will protect you, And if you want to be with Adam, Then you should be, I want you to be happy

Tay: Thanks Jackie, You always know what to say

Jackie: Thanks, by the way, did you know you’re heavy

Tay: (Laughing) you calling me Fat?

Jackie: I hate to say this… but you don’t even have an ounce of fat in you

Tay: Liar (Shoves her) but your right, I think I will go for it, Uh, one question, are you going to go out with Kyle?

Jackie: Thinking about it, I mean, I could do worse

Tay: Ya, you could be dating Lane

(Tay and Jackie start laughing, Over at the bar)

Adam: (See’s Austin) Austin, I thought you were gone…

Austin: We came back early, my mom got food poisoning or something

Adam: Oh…

Austin: Then I went to see Tay, but she wasn’t home and her mom said she came here, have you seen her?

Adam: Nope (Orders two drinks) But I should go

Austin: Who is the other drink for?

Adam: Uh, a Girl (Blushes)

Austin: Where is this girl?

Adam: By the hills (walks away)

(Back at the benches)

Tay: Ok so, if you had a choice between Brad pitt and Johnny depp, who would you marry?

Jackie: Oh, Johnny all the way, you?

Tay: Johnny (Giggles, see’s Adam come hurrying over) Adam, you look scared

Adam, Uh sorry to interrupt, But Austin Is here! (Hands her the drink)

Jackie: (Sighs) Tay, For once, let me kick his a*s!

Tay: No, No one is kicking anyone anywhere (Takes Adam’s and Jackie’s hand) let’s go see him

Adam: (Grins) you sure about that?

Tay: Mhmm, As long as I got you two, I can do anything

(The three of them go and find Austin)

Austin: (See’s Adam holding Tay’s hand) Adam, what the f**k man, she is mine

Tay: Austin, Give it up please. I do not belong to you

Austin: Excuse me?

Tay: You heard me, I am tired of you pushing me around, and telling me what to do, who knows, maybe I will date Adam; At least he knows how to treat a girl

Adam: Austin, Please stop this, I am so sick and tired of your bullshit, Also, Tay doesn’t want anything to do with you, so me, And the boys, and her friends will be with her, to protect her from you

Austin: (Glares at Adam) I thought you were on my side

Adam: On your side? I don’t even know you anymore, let’s go girls (Walks away)

Tay: You were great (Sits down on a beach)

Adam: You weren’t bad yourself (Sits beside her)

Jackie: Uh, I am going to find Kyle (Hurries back down the beach)

Adam: So, Tell me about your brothers and sister (Tucks a piece of hair behind her ear)

Tay: Uh…Trevor and Alex run a small café, and Megan, well she wants to be a actress, but she waits tables at my brother’s restaurant, I help out sometimes, when I get spare time
