(At school)

Manda: (stretches) God, my legs hurt

Tay: Well that’s what we get for being on the cheerleading squad

Jackie: mhmm (stretches her back) but it was worth it =]

Manda: (watching tay stare at eric) why don't you ask him out?

Tay: (sighs) he is captain of the football team, he doesn’t hang, talk or date people like me

Jackie: Kyle is quarterback, and he is dating me... does that help?

Tay: you and kyle are best friends; me and eric don’t know each other at all

Manda: Colin knows eric, there like best friends, and he is defense, cheer up tay, All football players aren't bad

(meanwhile)

Colin: (looks at eric) Dude you ok?

Eric: I'm fine (takes his helmet off) I just can't stop staring at the girl over there

Kyle: (slaps his back) as long as your not staring at Jackie, were good

Colin: Her name is tay, she is rich, she does have friends, but prefers to be left alone some days, and single

Eric: (snorts) so she is rich, probably snotty to

Colin: actually, tay is a nice girl, quiet, but she is best friends with Amanda and Jackie

Eric: why is she single?

Kyle: Jackie told me, Tay keeps to her self, and plenty of guys have asked her out, she just shuts them down

Colin: (see's manda coming over with Jackie and tay) and here comes my girl now

Kyle: you girls sure look good in those uniforms (kisses Jackie’s cheek) hiya tay, still breaking hearts?

Tay: hi kyle, still upset I said no?

Kyle: a little, but I got Jackie now =]

Colin: manda, we still on for tonight?

Manda: of course, I just need to get home and change

Eric: (staring at tay) hi, I’m eric

Tay: (tucks hair behind her ear) I’m tay

Colin: we got to back  practice (kisses manda) see you after

Jackie: we were planning on watching you guys from the bench

Kyle: sounds good to me =] our own cheering section

Eric: see you girls later, bye tay

Tay: see you (goes to the benches with Jackie and manda)

Jackie: (sighs) today was a good day (takes off her shoe) stupid ankle

Manda: still sore?

Jackie: (rotates it) mhmm, but a little pain never hurt anyone

Tay: (looks down at the bench in front of her) eric seems nice

Manda: he is a nice guy, hard headed maybe, but still nice

Tay: mhmm (let's her hair down) I need Advil

Jackie: (takes a bottle of Advil from her purse) just in case of emergency

Tay: thanks (swallows it) Eric is staring at me

Manda: probably because your gorgeous

Tay: ya right, I am average manda, and you and Jackie have all the looks

(after practice is done, in the changing room)

Colin: Eric, why don't you talk to tay? she stares at you everyday, and you never say a thing

Eric: what am I supposed to say (slams his locker shut) hey tay, I can't stop staring at you, date me? ya that will go over perfect

Kyle: Eric, Tay is a fabulous girl ok

Eric: why did she say no to you?

Kyle: Tay is different; she needs someone better then me

Eric: and how am I better?

Kyle: you care about people eric, your a decent guy

Eric: that I might be, but she would never go for a guy like me (gets dressed) I will see you guys outside

(meanwhile)

Tay: Manda, Jackie you guys go on ahead, I’ll catch up later

Manda: alright, I’ll see you later

Jackie: bye tay, see you tonight

Tay: mhmm (watches Jackie and manda take off)

Eric: (see's tay) oh boy, she is gorgeous

Tay: (turns around) Eric, hi (tucks her hair behind her ear) you waiting for someone?

Eric: (leans against her car) the guys, you?

Tay: no one, just enjoying the day and thinking

Eric: about?

Tay: truth?

Eric: that would be nice

Tay; ok, I am thinking about you

Eric: (clears his throat) really?

Tay: mhmm well I will see you later I guess

Eric: Tay..

Tay; yes?

Eric: nothing, see you later

(Colin and kyle come)

Colin: Tay (hugs her) how’s my girl?

Tay: I’m good, manda and Jackie left already

Kyle: and left you?

Tay: I stayed behind, plus I have my own car, see you guys later (goes to the benches)

Colin: something is bothering her

Kyle: mhmm, but we have to go, see you eric

Eric: bye (goes to the benches) you ok?

Tay: (staring at the field) I used to think I was always fine, now I’m not so sure

Eric: (sits beside her) want to talk about it?

Tay: Eric, your captain of the football team, your popular, and not to mention cute, why would you care about someone like me?

Eric: I care about people, it is one of my faults

Tay: caring about people isn't a fault, it is a gift, and I am sick

Eric: with?

Tay: a tumor, they say it is benign

Eric: do Jackie and manda know?

Tay; nope. they say this tumor can be taken out, and I will survive, but I am scared :(

Eric: benign tumors are fine, they take them out, and you go on with your life

Tay: what if I don't survive it?

Eric; you will, my mom had a benign tumor, 2 years ago, she had it removed, and she is fine

Tay: are you sure eric?

Eric: mhmm, tay, you have nothing to be worried about this

Tay: maybe your right, it is just, umm it might have spread :(

Eric: they will get it all out tay, let's go (grabs her hand)

Tay: where?

Eric: to see my mom

Tay: alright,,

(at Eric’s house)

Dee: Eric. your home already?

Eric: mhmm. mom this is tay, she was told she had a benign tumor

Dee: oh dear, honey you will be fine, they go in, and they remove it, and it doesn’t come back

Tay: how did you get over the fear?

Dee: I thought of my family. and my friends, and I did it for them, so that I could be around for them

Eric: Tay you have nothing to worry about

Tay; I paint, for fun, do you think I could still paint, if they cut open my brain?

Dee: of course dear, I play piano, and when I was fine and done, I could still play piano

Tay: thank you =] thank you so much, do you think I should tell my friends?

Dee: of course, they will be there for you, if they are true friends

Tay: so much for cheerleading

Dee: oh your on the cheerleading squad?

Tay; assistant captain, after my friend Jackie

Dee; well then, you should get it done, so you can get back to living your life

Tay; thanks =] it is was nice to meet you

Dee: you to, good luck tay

(At home)

Jasmine: hey honey (kisses her head) have you decided?

Tay: I want the surgery, and I want it as soon as possible

Jasmine: alright, I will arrange it, manda and Jackie called for you

Tay: thanks, I’ll call them now

Jasmine: alright, dinner is in an hour

Tay: alright (goes to her room and calls manda)

Manda: hey chickie, what’s happening?

Tay: manda, I have something to tell you

Manda: what is it?

Tay: remember the day I fainted?

Manda: mhmm and you told me everything was fine

Tay: I went to the doctors after that

Manda: omg are you ok tay?

Tay: I have a benign tumor

Manda: omg tay, (starts crying) is there anything they can do?

Tay: they can operate, get it out, and I should be fine

Manda: really?

Tay: mhmm, and they say it won't come back

Manda: what about cheerleading? or painting

Tay: Eric's mom said I can do all that stuff after

Manda: thank god, does Jackie know?

Tay: not yet, I am going to tell her though,

Manda: and Colin....

Tay; of course
